The Arts Society Sedgemoor is a member society of the Arts Society (https://theartssociety.org), was formed in 1995, and is now a thriving and active Society with about 100 members. Our members come from throughout Sedgemoor and beyond.

Each year the committee arranges a varied and interesting programme which includes nine lectures, Special Interest Days, visits and sometimes a longer visit of several days. 

The Society’s year begins in February. . As from the beginning of April 2025, we shall move our meetings to Woolavington Village Hall, Higher Road, Woolavington, TA7 8DY, where we shall meet at the earlier time of 1.15 for 1 1.30 start.

The lecturers are always specialists and experts in their subject. Lectures are on such topics as furniture, painting, woodcarving, jewellery, fabrics and tapestries, Christmas traditions, music and musicians to name but a
